Rev. Brian E. Wright He is a 1980 Graduate of Fuquay Senior High School in Fuquay Varina, NC. He is also a 1988 graduate of Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh, NC & a 2001 Graduate of United Christian Bible Institution of Columbus, Ohio. In 2002, Rev. Wright had the distinct opportunity to travel abroad to different countries including Johannesburg South Africa, Cairo Egypt, and Jerusalem Israel where he experienced walking the streets that Jesus walked and was baptized in the Jordan River. He studied the Holy Scriptures at Hebrew University while he toured there. Rev Wright served as the Vice Chair of the Ordination Council of the New Hope Association for 18yrs, served as 4th Vice Moderator of the New Hope Association for 8 yrs, served as Moderator of the New Hope Association for 4 yrs, and served on the General Board of the General Baptist State Convention for 4 yrs. He was appointed under the leadership of then President of the General Baptist State Convention of NC; Dr. GK Moss to serve as Vice Chair of the Political Actions Committee for 4 yrs. Rev. Wright served as the President and organizer of the Council of Churches of Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Vicinity for 17 yrs comprised of 15 Churches. He served as Vice President and President of the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Ministerial Alliance for 4 yrs. He served as Vice President of the Durham Ministerial Alliance for 4 yrs, He was also a former Board member of the Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee of the University of North Carolina and the Township of Chapel Hill/Carrboro for 7yrs. He has received numerous honors and recognitions for his community service including the National Biltmore Registry for Professional Leaders in 2008 based out of Hollywood Florida. Rev. Wright has served as pastor of two Congregations New Hope Baptist Church in Wendell, NC for 7 yrs & Terrell’s Creek Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, NC for over 21 yrs. Lee’s Crossroad Missionary Baptist Church Welcomes him as our New Interim Pastor!
